I am an experienced special education teacher. I attended undergrad at University of Southern California (USC) and teacher credentialing through Western Governors University (WGU). I have taught all ages and abilities in special education including transition-aged non-verbal students, high school ASD/EDD and k-8 mild/moderate students (SLD, ADHD, SLI). What does all of this mean? It means I can help ANYBODY learn. We can destroy standardize tests, write and edit eloquent essays, and break down complex math concepts. I encourage all my students to engage in fun, meaningful learning. I provide support with direct instruction and guiding questions and facilitate conceptual understanding, not just memorization.
