I am a graduate from American College of Education where I receive a Master of Education in Integrated Curriculum with a focus of Study in Early Childhood Education Special Education. I have been an educator for over ten years where I teach students at the lower elementary level both in the USA and Jamaica. The subject areas that I have taught are Reading, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. However, I am very passionate about reading. My passion embrace my personal philosophy which states' if the proper foundation is not laid the entire superstructure will tumble' with that said I am a strong believer in getting it right from the start and once students garner the fundamental skill in reading it would be easier to learn other subject areas. I have tutor students who have difficulty with reading and as result their reading levels improve tremendously and in most case they past their standardize test with superseding marks. My lessons are created in such a way that craters to the needs of my students while delivered in a fun matter which will allow my students to enjoy learning. Children are the future of any society; has an educator it is my responsibility and believe to prepare students for the future by empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful and productive member of society and education is one sure way in which students can be adequately prepare for the future.
