I am a graduate of Columbia university, where I got my bachelors in mechanical engineering. I have a bachelors of the arts from Fairfield University. I am strong in physics and in math. I can tutor calculus, college algebra, college physics, differential equations, high school physics, linear algebra, math, and general physics. I was often the student that other students counted on for help with homework and studying. I have 6 weeks of experience teaching (and assisting in teaching) engineering to a class of high school students for a summer high school program at Columbia. Practicing the material and assignments in advance, anticipating the points that would confuse students, reorganizing the lesson plans and assignment instructions to be as clear and intuitive as possible, and then continuing to adjust how I taught in response to questions and struggles of students was a rewarding challenge. Seeing the students reach their goals of understanding the lesson material and completing their projects on time was immensely gratifying. I've worked for over a year as a mechanical engineer since then. My experience as a project manager in mechanical engineering only strengthened my ability to map out and communicate complex plans and concepts in a clear, methodical, and intuitive manner. I work hard and will put every effort into seeing you master your material and reach your academic goals.

Hobbies

Mechanical Engineering- most of my projects involved bringing in new machinery and technology that could improve efficiency at my company. Although my supervisor was responsible for the final decision to purchase, I was responsible for every step from researching the technology, to determining the specific parameters and adjustments needed to be suitable for our factory (or shipping floor), to comparing prices, quotes, and suitability of different company's offers for our specific needs. Rowing- I rowed competitively at Fairfield and for one year at Columbia. Kickboxing- my current hobby.
