I have several decades of classroom and leadership experience including teaching and tutoring foreign languages, K-5 reading intervention, and seven years as Instructional Facilitator. Having first hand knowledge of the challenges some students have in learning a foreign language, I am inspired to connect teaching to the students' learning styles, to eliminate the apprehension about language learning. My passion is teaching and learning foreign languages and cultures. Because of my passion for language learning, I studied abroad for several years to not only learn the languages but also the culture. I have inspired several students to become foreign language teachers and many to become tutors while pursuing their college degree. My focus now is to give first and second year students a strong foundation in foreign languages (French and Spanish) to ensure success in upper level language courses.
