I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you. I enjoy teaching because I like to see students grow and develop their love of learning. I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I have taught preschool, kindergarten and first grade. I have taught student in a dual language program, ESL students and struggling students. I started with my Bachelor of Arts in Mexican American Studies at the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Then I earned my Master of Arts degree from Regis University in teaching English as a second language. I have had the opportunity to teach in the public schools in Colorado. I have also worked in a homeschool program and in private schools. I have also been tutoring and teaching online for the last 3 years. I enjoy teaching with many fun activities. I believe that when students are engaged and enjoying what they are doing they learn more easily.

I enjoy spending time outdoors near a lake, at a beach or in the mountains. I also enjoy traveling with my husband. I like reading and relaxing. One of my favorite hobbies is crocheting. I like to make items for friends and charity. I am never far from yarn as it can go with me everywhere.
