I am a recent graduate from Dakota Wesleyan University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry with a focus on bioinformatics-based research and a minor in psychology. In my downtime from graduating, I am continuing to do more research in the form of reading articles to maintain my knowledge while I apply for Graduate school where I hope to obtain a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or cancer research. During my undergraduate years, I was one of my campus's lead tutors, helping to forge our way of tutoring in an online format due to COVID-19, while still maintaining our standards of hospitality and educational standards. I mainly focus on tutoring the physical sciences, those of which being chemistry, biology, and some physics, even though it may seem like a broad range of topics, they all tend to go hand in hand together and can be taught in very similar manners, overall though my favorite subject to tutor is definitely chemistry as a whole, it's just so much fun to me. Over time, I have learned a variety of different tutoring styles due to how many students I have helped, and with each way, I tend to find a way to make it a bit more fun and memorable for the students. To me personally, helping students to try and understand the physical sciences is my passion, there seems to be a stigma with the sciences that only certain people are cut out for it and if you don't understand it then you never will, and I find that to be false. Each student learns a subject in a different way, so why not teach science that way, that way there is a better understanding, and less fear of the subject. Aside from research and teaching, I tend to enjoy playing video games, reading for fun, and a nice hike in the wilderness.
