I am a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Biology. I start graduate school in June of 2021 to earn my teaching certificate to teach biology. Although I have a strong science background, some of my favorite courses I took in college were history and math related. I have experience in tutoring biology, chemistry, pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-calculus at both the high school and college levels. I am extremely passionate about teaching because I found that, throughout my education, genuine teachers who truly wanted to help me learn and succeed were rare.
I find that making connections and taking the time to truly get to know my students and why they may be struggling in a particular course is so important! In my free time, I love painting, reading, and taking my dog, Pacino, for walks!
