I had the opportunity to major in Geophysics at the University of Maryland, where I wrote my senior thesis on seismic wave velocity anomalies underlying the Hawaiian Islands. While Geophysics is a niche field of study, the skillset and academic discipline that I acquired throughout my experiences at UMD lead me to become a reliable mentor within my community. My tutoring style is best captured by my personality; I am a curious, analytical, and feasible thinker with a determination to connect with people on every level and industry. I am most passionate about Math (Calculus), Physics, and Statistics, although I am capable of tutoring a broad range of subjects. My number one goal is to connect with my students on a personal level to induce an informal, conversational style of learning. My side hobbies (while ever-changing) include realistic drawing, coding and robotics, and a nice riveting documentary. I look forward to learning about myself as a mentor and I'm excited for the opportunity to share knowledge about the fundamentals that sparked my academic drive.
