I am currently studying for a Master's in Secondary Education; additionally, I recently obtained my Master's in English Language and Literature from Boston College. During the course of that degree, I concentrated in Irish Literature and Culture. Previous to that course of study, I double majored in undergrad, studying both English and history. My specialties for history are world history and American history.

I love tutoring students in the subjects I am passionate about. I believe that all learning can be made fun and interesting, and I enjoy working with students to find ways to tailor the subject material to their interests and everyday lives. For the past few months, I have been teaching students of all ages (age 4 up to adult) English as a secondary language. These students are from East Asia and have varying degrees of fluency in English. I have found I particularly enjoy working with young children and finding ways to engage them in learning.

In my everyday life, I go on many walks with my dog, and I read a lot of books (as one might expect). My favorite books are in the young adult genre, followed closely by adult science fiction and fantasy. Sometimes I write papers (for fun!) on science fiction or fantasy books, movies, and TV shows and present them at academic conferences.
