I am currently a Lead Teaching Assistant for Medical Biochemistry at UCF, and continue to volunteer as an assistant for Organic Chemistry I and II as well as Microbiology. I have a Bachelor's of Science in secondary English Education and have experience teaching English and Literature at the high school level. I am currently preparing applications for medical school, but continue to invest in educational settings in classrooms as well as a private tutor. I have a knack for disseminating complex material in an understandable way, and have a few great technology tools that allow me to provide cutting edge educational experiences for my students, including but not limited to my SurfacePro and access to all Adobe software, on which I made supplemental instructional materials for a few courses in UCF's Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences under the College of Medicine. I love teaching and learning about a range of topics, and look forward to extending my enthusiasm to my students.
I am comfortable and proficient in teaching students from middle and high school through college courses, and adapt my style of teaching accordingly. Students commonly tell me I explain things in an accessible way and have a gift for making them feel comfortable. I am able to teach in a diverse range of topics, from English and the arts to math and science, with a particular focus for college students in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry.
