I graduated this past May with a B.S. in Physics and minors in mathematics and astronomy from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. I am currently pursuing a M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization from the Katz School at Yeshiva University in New York City, NY.
I have experience tutoring math and physics for the past three years. I really enjoy helping students figure out how to learn. Having struggled with math in high school and working up to a degree in physics, I am someone who has gone through the process of learning how to learn myself. My tutoring style largely depends on each students strengths and unique way of thinking. I hope to encourage students to tap into their skills, mature their critical thinking, and heighten their creativity in problem solving using science and math.
Education & Certification
Undergraduate Degree: Truman State University - Bachelor of Science, Physics
Outside of school work I enjoying painting, reading, hiking, stargazing, and playing with my cat. I also love to be involved in STEM outreach. Since stargazing is harder to do in the city, I have been working on an astronomy podcast to stay engaged with the astronomy community.
