I graduated from the University of Delaware in 1980 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. I achieved Cum Laude distinction at the time of my graduation, and I was also admitted into Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical engineering honors society. In that organization, I was elected Chapter President during my senior year. Since graduation, I have worked in a wide variety of technology-based corporations, including Raytheon Company, EMS Wireless, and Envista Forensics LLC. My engineering experience was heavily based in mathematics and physics which I used to solve a broad range of engineering challenges. Now, as a retired engineer, I have taken up tutoring students. I am passionate about teaching and learning! I learned from many years of technical experience the great value of thoroughly learning the fundamentals of science and mathematics - which is exactly what is taught in high school and the early years of college. With this fundamental understanding of science and mathematics, then truly - all things are possible! For this reason, I really enjoy having a student get engaged with the coursework and excel beyond his or her expectations.
In my personal time, I enjoy music, photography, and amateur radio.
