About Me
I am a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. I am on the pre-med track, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree. I love working with children, especially tutoring them as they have creative minds and I think it is an honor to be able to help them develop into the best forms of themselves through learning. I have volunteered for multiple summers being a teaching assistant for Spirit Camp at Holy Family Parish, mainly working with children ages 2-10. I have also tutored elementary reading and math to children in my neighborhood. I can tutor in a broad range of subject matter, but I especially love tutoring elementary/middle school math, elementary/middle school reading and writing, high school English (grammar/syntax, reading, essay writing/editing, paper writing, etc.), and any area of science covered through middle school. Also, I have gone through the college process, and I would love to advise anyone who needs help with college essays or personal statements. Education is necessary for a good quality of life, and my goal as a tutor is to help my students understand the materials necessary to make them functional and happy to indulge in learning. I approach teaching in an inquisitive style, asking questions of students and breaking larger problems down into smaller sections. It is important that students answer for themselves rather than someone else doing their work for them, and I am here to help guide them through their schooling and answer any questions they may have. Outside of tutoring and studying, I enjoy photography, learning how to cook, and occasionally playing Minecraft with my younger sister.
