I am currently studying law at Washington University in St. Louis. I have received a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Chicago. Though my life has moved away from the study of math, I remain passionate about math and learning in general. I have always been a strong believer that we learn by teaching, and I am excited to learn as I help you learn!
I primarily tutor math, ranging from arithmetic to calculus. I have always found manipulating numbers and variables to be extremely satisfying, and I look forward to sharing this passion with you. I believe the best way to learn is by trying, so I like to work through a lot of practice problems with students. The most important part of the learning process is making mistakes, and you should never be ashamed of making one. We will work through every misstep together, figure out exactly where we went wrong, why, and how, and before long I'm confident that subjects that once seemed insurmountable will make sense.
Outside of academics, I like to spend my free time playing board and card games. I love replaying my favorite games, on each replay learning a new nuance of the game's rules and understanding how to play it a little better. I also love musical theater, though I've never been much of a singer myself. But we should never let ourselves be scared away from our passions because of difficulty.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better, and I look forward to getting to know you!
