I am from New York City and I attended St. John's University for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I minored in art. I love to write and I like to put creativity into what I do. I also have an interest in science and I have worked as a medical assistant and researcher. I first started tutoring when I was in college, when I tutored foster children. Later I volunteered as a tutor when I studied for my Master's degree in Public Health. My background in science has made appreciate it so much, which is why I enjoy tutoring in it, as well as basic math, and writing. I have a strong interest in helping others in learning subjects that will help them in the future, whether that is for another class or a future career. I appreciate the teamwork involved in learning in order to achieve an understanding of topics and concepts. I think students have a different pace of learning. That is why I feel it is important to take into consideration what the student has been able to accomplish on his or her own and use that to help structure goals in learning. Outside of academics my hobbies include cooking, crafting, and yoga.
