I am a Pre-med student at Arizona State University. I have been tutoring at the university for the last year, and it has been a blast! I tutor, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics I, and some genetics. Organic chemistry is definitely my favorite subject to tutor. It was a challenging subject when I took it, but I really put my mind to it, worked my tail off and I received high marks in my courses. That's why I love it so much. I enjoy showing students that they can overcome difficult courses and challenges just like how I did, and it feels very rewarding to me.
Teaching has been a part of my life for quite some time now. I was a piano teacher in high school and I have held various leadership roles from a young age. It's always been something that I loved doing. I very much have enjoyed being a source of knowledge for others to consult and sharing things that I enjoy with others. It's a responsibility that I take a great amount of pride in.
As far as my teaching style is concerned, I like taking a hands-on approach. Working through problems step by step is a key foundation to my philosophy. I like to guide my students to the answer through series of questions that test foundational knowledge of the topic at hand.
