I am a graduate of the University of North Georgia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics. Since I have graduated, I have taken a year off from school before going back to start my Masters in the Art of Teaching this year. I am most passionate about teaching kids and mathematics. I strive to help students have a different perspective on math. I hear students say "I just can't do it." This is not true, they can do it. I call it the power of "yet". They can't do it "yet". Once they start to understand and gain more confidence in themselves and their math skills, they are successful. When I have a student that has been struggling, and then all of a sudden you see the light bulb go off and they start to understand, is the reason that I love to teach. When I am not tutoring or helping students, I am at home reading a good book, watching my favorite TV show, or spending time with family and friends.
