I discovered I loved tutoring when I first started working in my college math tutor room. Seeing someones understanding improve from our interaction was a great experience. I also liked the mental challenge and found out tutoring sharpened my mind. Since then I've looked for opportunities to tutor and have been tutoring college physics both as a TA and on the side. I'm currently working on my PhD in physics and already have a master's. I prefer interactive tutoring were we work on problems. I'll try to get a sense of the student's understanding and thought process and will help them along if needed by either explaining something, giving information they need, or clearing up any misunderstandings.
