About Me

I have a chemistry degree from Portland State University. I have experience tutoring a kindergartner who had gotten sick and missed a large amount of school. I have also taught some select advanced eighth grade chemistry classes guided by a PhD level teacher as volunteer work. I have also volunteered doing grading for an AIG Language Arts teacher which included sixth, seventh, and eighth grade work. I am currently looking to tutor in the following areas: general English, grammar, science, math, middle school writing, middle school math, Pre-Algebra, high school level English which includes writingI look for various ways to engage students via talking to them about their interest and hobbies, helping them use their skills and hobbies to craft academic and personal goals, and sharing my experiences in a mentoring capacity. I enjoy many theatre and music related events, going to random parks, and exploring the Portland area. I love walks! I hope to entertain and engage students of various learning styles.
