I currently attend the University of Texas at Dallas as a Pre-Medical student majoring in Molecular Biology and minoring in Spanish and Hispanic Studies. Previously, I tutored elementary English and Math, as well as high school Chemistry and Spanish. I also have experience as a Pre-Calculus Instructor for Mu Alpha Theta, a competitive mathematics organization. My favorite is STEM tutoring since the content application is vital towards advancing research, medicine and engineering.
I love to help students understand subject information so that they can apply it to higher-level institutions such as research, college courses, career internships, etc.
My tutoring style is to motivate students through a constructivist approach to learning and engage them in discussion-style instruction. I hope to help build students' confidence when approaching new content so that they feel and perform their best.
In my free time, I enjoy shadowing physicians, reading, writing, and making greeting cards. I would love the opportunity to share what I have to offer.
