I was born in Texas and moved to India with my family when I was very young. Last year I came back to the US to pursue my higher studies.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master's degree in Particle Technology. I have completed my Master's degree and while I search for full time employment, I want to utilize this time constructively and teach students and since I really enjoy teaching, I intend to continue doing so even after I have a full time job.
Besides my academic interests in the field of science, I am extremely passionate about literature, music and the performing arts. I have been trained in Hindustani Classical Music for 10 years, I was president of my University Drama Club and also my School Debate Club and I am usually the go to person when there is want of poetic expression.
Most of my free time is spent binging on old classic movies or singing out loud to classic rock and I also love to write.
Having grown up with a little sister, I always took it upon myself to teach her (even if she didn't want me to sometimes). I have also taught few other kids and I realize that I very much enjoy the process of teaching and getting to know my students.
I believe that the best way to teach someone is to first know the subject thoroughly myself, and then breaking it down in the simplest way possible for the student in a manner that they are able to relate to which can usually be achieved by establishing some common ground with the student.
I am very much looking forward to getting to know some people through this platform and helping them learn in a fun way.
