In the future I went to become a Physician Assistant (PA). As a PA, I need to be able to articulate my findings thoroughly both to my colleges and to my patients. The reason I went into to healthcare was because I love to help people. Tutoring is no different than that.
As a high school student at Briarcliff High School I tutored students in math because I was a member of the Math Honors Society. It was a really awarding experience. In college I tutored students in Math and Science. I tutored students in Calc 1 and various science classes such as Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry and many other classes.
Nothing would give me greater joy than seeing my students understand something that they once couldn't comprehend. Teaching not only requires knowledge of the subject but it also requires great interpersonal skills. As a young college grad, I'm full of energy and willing to take on any new challenges.
I'm proficient in Math up to Calc I. I've tutored my sister in all levels of high school math. She is now a graduating senior and national merit finalist, which is awarded to those that finish in the top 1% in both the SAT and PSAT.
On all my high school history regents I have never scored below a 92. I tutored my younger sister in history and she hasn't scored below a 94 on any history regents. She is also a national merit finalist.
