I am a first generation student. I am the first in my extended family to go to grad school. I put education as a high priority in my life and I always encourage my friends and family to do the same.

I love working with all ages of learners. I am currently working part-time at community college as a developmental reading and writing instructor and writing tutor at the writing center. I really enjoy working with college students because they are independent and responsible for putting in the time and effort to be successful.

My career goal is to eventually work full time in higher education after my children are in school.
