I love to tutor students because I like to see the joy on their faces when they succeed in the classes they are taking. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from CUNY Brooklyn College and a Masters degree in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. My specialty areas include science from elementary school to undergraduate school. I can teach all levels of chemistry courses, whether its high school or college level, I am your gal. I am also very proficient in teaching math courses from Algebra 1 to Calculus 1. Since I have an MPH degree I am very good at editing papers, MLA formats, thesis statements, even helping students finish paper from start to finish.
My teaching method is catered to every students strength and weaknesses. I help the student understand the problem they are struggling with, show them what tools or concepts they need to know to solve the problem, and work with them to solve some problems so they are confident in their abilities. I also do mock test reviews where we (the student and I) think of what questions a teacher may ask and then we practice those problems, this helps the student settle their nerves.
Aside from studies I love to do outdoor activities such as hiking trails, playing tennis, and mini golf just to name a few.
