I am a lifelong learner, with 10+ years of experience teaching college level reading and writing courses. I am obtaining my PhD in Literature studies, and have interest in teaching 18th / 19th century British Literature at the college level. Additionally, I enjoy reading and teaching contemporary American texts, and working with web-based composition and teaching methods.

As a teacher, I have worked with flipped classroom methods and social pedagogy. I get to know each student's learning style and preferred communication method prior to tutoring/teaching, in order to make course material / subject matter more accessible, engaging, and inviting to them. I value student success and growth in my classrooms and tutoring sessions, exercising patience and great care with each individual. Quite simply, I enjoy watching people learn and grow as students and writers!
