I have been a tutor since my undergraduate years, at various levels from high school students through physics majors. I have TA'ed many different types of physics courses, including 'How Things Work', Introductory University Physics (algebra- and calculus-based) and graded for higher level courses including graduate level. In my TA background I have taught in different classroom styles including lecture, recitation, labs, and the 'flipped classroom' style of studios. In addition to tutoring and teaching, I have been involved in outreach activities designed to bring physics understanding to a public-education level.
I am well-trained in teaching and tutoring, and have the ability to tailor my explanations on the fly to different ability levels, student backgrounds, and learning styles. I have experience in curriculum development and can create study materials and questions designed to lead students to a more in-depth understanding of the material.
