About Me

Graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters degree in Education, where I also received endorsements in Reading and ESOL instruction. I am originally from the Caribbean and was raised in West New York, NJ.Fluent in Spanish, written and spoken. I was in bilingual classes through some of my K-12 Education. Because English was considered by second language, I, like many of my fellow students, struggled in reading. Currently in a doctoral program in Central Florida for Educational Leadership. My personal motto is that "Failure" is a sign that you are trying. We learn more from failure than we do from success.

TPR- Total Physical Response. The fastest way to stimulate the mind is to move the body. I can use a charades game to act out story to teach "summarizing". I can use a beach ball with key comprehension questions to ask. The student is responsible to answer the question where his/her thumb landed. I also use Kagan Strategies, such as rolling of the dice, round-robin, Jig-Saw, etc.
