I have been tutoring in mathematics since my early years in high school. I first found my love of mathematics in Mr. Vreisman's classroom. He was my Algebra 1 teacher and encouraged me to continue to pursue the subject. His motto was, "Math is only as hard as you make it seem." He believed that most people had trouble in this subject because of the daunting stereotypes surrounding the difficulty of math. He proved us all wrong in that class. Ever since then, I adapted several different techniques and ways of teaching to encourage students to understand this thought process. My goal is help all of my clients understand that math is not hard, but getting out of the mentality that math is hard is where the difficulty lies.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is simply "a subject is only as hard as you believe it to be." I feel that the biggest obstacle a student faces is themselves. When you think something is hard, it usually is. However, if you believe that the subject can be learned, you expand your mind's willingness to grasp material.
