I have tutored students in physics, calculus, algebra, geometry and math as a private tutor for the last 2 years. Before I began as a private tutor I tutored friends and was a tutor for the National Honors Society in High School.

I love working with students and seeing them understand a subject they previously did not. Often students are missing a few pieces of information that keeps them from succeeding. My job has a tutor is to figure out what these pieces of information are and to correct it.

What is your teaching philosophy?

You have to teach them how to use their existing knowledge to approach new problems. Understanding what is going on in an equation is much more important than the equation itself. Teach the student to look for why.
