I recently graduated from Columbia University in New York City, where I majored in Political Science and concentrated (minored) in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies. At Columbia, I graduated with a 3.72 GPA and made the Dean's List six semesters in a row. Upon graduating, I was awarded honors for my senior thesis in comparative politics analyzing the causes of civil violence in Africa. I am now living in New Jersey for the summer and studying for the LSAT (I plan to attend law school in a couple years) before starting a corporate management position here in the fall.
Throughout college, I have been tutoring to help pay the bills. I have now worked with over 60 students! About half have worked with me to study for the SAT. I have also helped many students prepare for a variety of other standardized tests, including the PSAT, the reading/writing portions of the ACT, SAT Subject Tests in US History, World History, and Literature, and AP exams in US History, US Government, World History, Comparative Government, European History, Human Geography, and English Language and Composition.
In high school, I took seven AP classes and a class at the University of Michigan. I scored in the 99th percentile on my SAT, obtaining a 2260 (800 Writing, 750 Reading, and 710 Math). I also took three SAT Subject Tests, US History, World History, and Literature, and scored 800, 790, and 720 on them, respectively.
I am happy to meet with students online or in-person to give them the help they need. I am available to aid students with homework, exam preparation (both standardized and in-class tests), as well as personal essays and college applications.
