What is your teaching philosophy?

In my teaching, I am always thinking of the real world application of the subject. If my students cannot use what they have learned in context, then I have work to do. Whether it be survival Italian or creating a mock-up for a budding idea, it is my concern that students approach their school projects as they would in a professional setting.
