I am passionate about tutoring because I love facilitating the love of academic success. School was always fun for me; unfortunately I know that is not the case for everyone and tutoring gives me the platform to share my love for learning. My experience tutoring involves mostly writing, I enjoy assisting with improving student’s writing skills and proofreading papers before they are turned in to improve students’ scores. I received my Bachelors of Arts from Oregon State University and my Masters of Education from Concordia University. It was during my time at Concordia as a graduate student that I discovered my love for tutoring! I currently tutor in the subjects of reading, writing, and English ACT test taking. My favorite subject to tutor is APA writing assistance; writing in the APA format can be challenging! I enjoy the challenge and especially helping students to improve their writing skills in this format. In my spare time I enjoy reading, drinking strong coffee, traveling, playing with my children, and anything outdoors here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
