Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

The best type of teacher or tutor is not one that simply reads from a book. It's one who is not afraid to go above and beyond for their student.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

The most important thing for me to do first is learn what learning style is best for my student.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

By teaching them different tricks that I use to help me learn something. Show them how to analyze problems and think outside "the box" when trying to figure out how to solve them. Also teaching them how to use their resources that are available to them such as a computer or book.
