What is your teaching philosophy?
A basic teaching principle for the teacher is to continually improve. I have always believed that I need to evaluate my teaching. I look to improve my methods, so I am delivering instruction that is meeting the needs of each student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During my first session with a client, I would determine his or her goals for the tutoring sessions. Then I would provide them a game plan on how we will achieve their goals. Then I would like to evaluate their ability by asking them some questions so I can have a clear understanding of their ability.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
There are three ways that I can help a student to become an independent learner. First, I want to keep them motivated. Discuss the importance of being resilient. The mindset to take on challenges without fear and worry. Then, help the student to understand the importance of time management.
