About Me

I am completing a Ph.D. in Religion, historical studies, and I am specializing in Transatlantic Religion in the 17th and 18th centuries. My research is interdisciplinary, engaging the fields of religion, history, and theology. I am a certified special education teacher (NY, AR, and TN), and I co-taught middle school and high school mathematics for six years before returning to school full-time. As a special educator, I am particularly skilled at working with nuerodiverse students and students who have struggled to engage in learning in a traditional classroom format. I help students develop educational agency, develop individual educational plans, and advocate for themselves in the traditional classroom setting.
