Ever since my freshman year in high school, I would help my friends with their math homework and science problems. My talent for passing on knowledge was professionally realized when I began working as a tutor at my high school, and later at the University of Michigan. As a junior at UM, I have now been tutoring students in a wide variety of areas such as ACT/SAT preparation, PSAT preparation, and in their academic courses as well. I am in my third year of completing my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, and as a result have developed a heavy focus in mathematics and science courses. For this reason, when I am not teaching standardized test preparation, I often tutor high school and college level mathematics as well as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
If you are interested in getting to know me or have any questions at all, including how my teaching sessions are conducted, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email at any time. As a premedical student, chances are I will be awake to take your call!
Q & A
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
I often suggest reading articles that I myself have read and am familiar with, in order to help them become comfortable with deeper levels of reading comprehension and capability.
