Learner-centered and task based teaching method.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Problem solved and mission focused will make you become an independent learner.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
We will learn Chinese culture all together instead of just focusing language. Learning is as important as playing.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
We will talk about how we could make progress.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
We will try to answer questions based on we just read. Looking for the main idea of the reading content will be the first step. Then, we will be searching for clues or key words in the paragraph.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
There will be evaluation between each session. We will make sure that we have learned and reached the goal before we move on to next topic.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
We could start from some open-ended questions. We will make sure the student feels comfortable about what they learn. If you are in a beginner level, I will never ask you advanced questions. But, the challenge will not be too hard for you to accept.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Communication is very important. We will talk about our goal at the beginning of the class.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
We will finish or complete the task together. There will be certain level of anticipations. Therefore, we will try to meet anticipation individually.
