I have always loved helping others, and I've found that I do my best work in a one-on-one environment, like tutoring. I graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders, and I will be working as a speech-language technician for Nebo School District, starting in the fall. I lived in the Dominican Republic as a church volunteer, and I am fluent in Spanish.
I understand that students retain best what they do themselves. For this reason, my tutoring philosophy is to allow the student to go as far as he or she can alone and then give the tools necessary to figure the rest out together. This process continues until the student feels confident doing the work alone.
