About Me

My current full-time position is as a lecturer in the Department of Biology and Allied Health Sciences, Fairleigh Dickinson University, NJ - Courses taught: Molecules, Cells, and Genes, Biological Diversity. I also adjunct online general biology courses at Southern New Hampshire University. My previous teaching positions include Teaching Assistant (TA) at Montclair State University and Rutgers University and Adjunct Faculty at Montclair State University, Passaic County Community College, and Bergen Community College - all in NJ. Courses taught in the past: Ecology, Environmental Biology, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Emerging Diseases, General Biology I and II, Cell Biology. Additionally, I'm a Master Bander and have run my own banding station in the past, tracking migration and population numbers of songbirds. I currently volunteer for projects involving banding migrating shorebirds in the spring and hawks in the fall. I've also been involved in wild bird rehabilitation - helping sick and injured wild birds recover and be released back into the wild - for the past 14 years. My specialization is in ornithology (birds!) but I'm also interested in the fields of ecology, zoology, species conservation, animal behavior, and herpetology.
