Beginning as early as high school, I have been tutoring and teaching elementary and middle school students. My passion is educating youth and inspiring them to love learning!
I started in high school as a summer camp assistant and an after school tutor. During my undergraduate degree at Emory University, I continued to tutor after school while pursuing my Bachelor's in Psychology. I then went on to get my teaching certificate and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. After earning my degree, I began teaching a combined 3rd and 4th grade classroom. I was a classroom teacher for four years and in that time, I taught multiple grade levels and subject areas. I now work for Arizona Science Center focusing on STEM education.
I firmly believe that all students can learn and that all students can be successful! Everyone learns in their own unique way and the job of a tutor is to scaffold content, so that the content best matches the style of the students' learning.
