What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is that students should build concepts and learn.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Introduce myself, tell them my story of how I used to study. Ask the students what expectations do they have from me.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would recommend students learn the easy part first and make concepts for the tough subjects and keep on revisiting the tough subjects till the time it becomes easy.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would teach them easy and tough topics both but in a proportion of 3:1.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I will ask the student to give it a quick read at home and then will explain it the next day and I will try that the student learns with a concept so that he/she remembers it.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
I will start will giving them assignment of reading small passages with easy concepts.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
I will try to make them understand the subject easier by explaining with different examples.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
I will plan a time table to take a small test the next day.

By repeating the subject again and again.
