I am currently a MPH student at the lovely GWU, and I graduated from the sunny University of California-Riverside after obtaining my bachelor's degree in Biology. I have taken a wide range of courses and am here to pass down my knowledge! I tutor a variety of Life Sciences (such as Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Evolution, Ecology, and Organic Chemistry), and in the past have worked as a tutor for both high school and college students.
I know what it is to be a student, and can therefore understand the frustrations that sometimes arise when learning these subjects. These subjects can be quite difficult, and sometimes you need that one-on-one help to fully grasp the concepts. My approach is not only to reiterate the material you have learned in class but also to make sure you can apply this material in different ways relating to your course. By first targeting weaknesses, you'll be able to come out of sessions feeling like a pro, and ready to ace your exams! I use various teaching methods, all of which can be adjusted to the student's needs. I have a very strong work and study ethic, and truly believe learning is a key to life. I want the passion I have for science to transfer over to the student--or to at the least make science more bearable! I look forward to our time together!
When I'm not immersed in the sciences, I enjoy exploring the outdoors or doing some yoga!
