I am an excellent tutor because of my ability to adjust my level of instruction to the needs of each individual student, and because of my enthusiasm. I really enjoy teaching. I like to learn and to share what I've learned. So, basically, I have heaps of experience teaching and tutoring students, and have always received high ratings. My students do very well on their exams!
My qualifications are extensive, and include two undergraduate degrees (Zoology and Botany), and a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California at San Diego, where I specialized in neuroscience. I have taught introductory biology, genetics, physiology, microbiology, neurobiology, botany, and zoology.
In terms of availability for tutoring, I can be available for up to 15 hours per week, year round. I can meet with students any day of the week, including weekends. I can be available early evening (till 9pm) and most daytime hours.
