I'm a local government professional with teaching experience at two top-tier universities (Brigham Young and Arizona State) and a continued interest in teaching, tutoring and promoting education in everything I do. I'm a published author, a proud father of 3 kids, and a lifelong learner. I have a BA degree in economics and business, an MPA degree in public administration, and I'm happy to help with business, political science, math, English, economics, German, statistics, Microsoft Office or whatever else ails you.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My tutoring philosophy generally leans toward teaching through personalization and immersion. Should you choose to hire me, we may find ourselves talking about parties and movie tickets to explain sunken economic costs, or we may look like we're playing charades while I help you learn some new German vocabulary. Besides just being more fun, research shows these methods are the most effective at helping students truly understand what they're studying because they have to think analytically rather than simply memorizing facts and figures. Good thinking skills leads to better problem solving, better test results, and better grades.
