Reflecting on my educational experiences, I realized the huge impact the relation of a teacher and his students plays on the education of young people. What people learn in the classroom, especially at a young age, will help them achieve many of their life's goals. As a tutor, I hope to be a role model that cultivates the interest of young students in knowledge, to get the necessary skills to succeed in the classroom, to open their mind and think critically.
I started tutoring at a very young age when many of my classmates asked to help them study for tests but professionally for about three years. Soon I realized that tutoring is more than teaching for a test; to me tutoring is preparing the student to face any challenge even when I am not there to help them. My experience working in varied environments has enabled me to develop a range of practical skills. I am able to manage challenging behavior effectively, conduct activities safely, communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, and develop different teaching methods.
What motivates me to be a tutor is the pure joy to engage with the student, to help them achieve higher goals, to challenge them to become better not only inside the classroom but outside as well. Being a tutor is very challenging, demanding but it is one of the most exiting careers there are. I look forward to doing a career that is so important, being privileged to be such a fundamental part of so many lives and making a difference.
