I am a recent graduate from Willamette University, with a BA in Biology and Spanish and a minor in Chemistry. My teaching experience began as a teacher of horseback riding and horse trainer, where I learned how to work with a wide variety of learning styles. I also studied abroad in Panama—where I researched poison dart frog behavior—and Spain, in addition to working in a bilingual English/Spanish elementary classroom. In the journey to learn Spanish myself, I have made many connections that make learning new languages more understandable and less daunting. I love working through the subtle adjustments which can make an essay powerful, and stepping through the processes of math and algebra. When not in an academic setting, I’m known as a lover of animals, books, and physical activity.
