As a dedicated educator, I excel at finding and developing the potential of my students. I have been tutoring since I was a college student at Georgetown University in the 1990's. After graduation, I worked for four years on the trading floor of an Argentinian bank in New York City where I traded money markets and other instruments in three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese, so I took a winding route back to the classroom, but I have now been teaching for more than 14 years in Texas.
I am certified in English, ESL, Spanish, Composite Social Studies and dance. I have coached tennis and for the last 11 years have directed an award-winning ballet folklorico program. I also currently teach an AVID elective. AVID is a college prep class, so I have experience prepping students for college and in writing exceptional college and scholarship essays.
I really enjoy teaching and look forward to working with you.
