About Me

I've been a tutor and Mandarin Chinese teacher for five years and have taught every type of student from Elementary school-age to adults at the Beginner level to International Baccalaureate prep courses. My own language background comes from living in China and attending the Beijing Foreign Studies University and Taiwan University. What I love most about tutoring is the unique opportunity that the one-on-one setting provides to ensure that you or your student really masters the content in the lesson in all four aspects of language learning (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing). In addition to helping you achieve your course objectives, I am most interested in having students take risks and show motivation in their own language learning. You'll surprise yourself at how well you can communicate in Mandarin!
