I did my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I received my MBA in Healthcare administration at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI. I have been involved in tutoring since MSU, where I held a teaching assistant position in the Foreign Language department. In more recent years, I have been working with the Big Brother/Big Sister program, tutoring students within the elementary and middle school age groups. My background in psychology gives me a greater appreciation for the various teaching techniques. Everyone learns differently and whether I am tutoring 5th grade math, psychology, or a foreign language, it is important to adapt to the student's unique way of learning, some of which may be unconventional. I grew up on two different continents (North America and Africa) which has given me very rich and diverse cultural awareness. I enjoy traveling the world and have spent time in places like Japan, Spain, Switzerland and Costa Rica.
