I grew up in North Carolina. I first left home to go to school at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I earned a BA in Political Science and minor is Spanish Language and Literature (after studying abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain). I graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law (ranked #24 among law schools at the time).

As a tutor, I have worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Charlotte, NC; the Lexington City Schools Reading Program in Lexington, VA; and Let's Read in Los Angeles.

Outside of work, I read biographies about modern comedians and politicians. I also count down the days until football season, despite always being the only Carolina Panthers fan in the room.
